Wind Of Change

Autumn blew in

I heard it’s sigh

Melancholy of days gone by

Tho the sun was bright

And the day was high

It was time, anon, for birds to fly

The breeze was warm

I felt it’s breath

On my arms, my face, my neck

Signaling the Summer’s death

With a hint of circumspect

I heard it whisper in my ear

To hold on close to all that’s dear

Yet, not to worry. Not to fear.

The time had come to clear the air

Breathing in and breathing out

I let this zephyr cleanse me

Allowing me to ready for

The new season that awaits me
